Taste And See
This collection started after Adam Cates and Ryan Meadows recorded
what became the title cut in the common area of our church office. Adam "owned" the song in minutes and created a very moving recording. That led to the three of us team up to create this collection.
All the songs were recorded in one day -- actually less than six hours with a 90 minute lunch break! All but one were the first and only take. Ryan then added some light instrumentals and finished a simple mix.
I still wonder if this isn't the better way for indie songwriters to get their songs "out". When I published the songs, I sent one of the songs through a "review" which had about 100 people listen and critique the song. It was all a great learning experience. Below is the back cover copy for the CD, which includes some of the feedback I received.
Taste And See with Adam Cates is resonating with music lovers.
"Creative and pleasing to my ears”... “Soothing and makes me want to hear more... "This is music that calms the soul”... "Very independent and unique”... “Memorable and acclaiming. I would highly recommend it to anybody”... "Excellent vocals and stellar song writing shine through”... “10 out of 10!”
